From the world of TV to the WV: Maxine is Bae!
Bar(s) that I work at: I am a bartender at Henrietta Hudson in West Village.
How long I’ve worked there: I’ve been making drinks there for 6 months.
What are my shifts: I’m there every Thursday through Saturday. Come visit me for Sapphic Stoplight party on Thursday nights!
What makes this bar great: It’s definitely the staff. Everyone there works to make sure the vibes and the drinks are immaculate. It’s so important to protect queer spaces and keep them safe for patrons and employees!
Best drink I make: I make the best spicy margarita-tas! Make sure you order one from me and let me know what you think.
I love it when customers: know their group’s drink orders when I get to them at the bar!
I hate it when customers: are impatient or rude during the rush; I promise I’ll get to you soon!
Craziest thing I’ve seen here: If you were at Henrietta’s for Pride this year you may have seen the death drop on top of the Porto-potty.
Other places I’ve worked: I started bartending at Emporium and Okay Bar in New Orleans before moving to New York City.
My hometown: I grew up outside of Los Angeles in Simi Valley.
Stuff I do when I’m not bartending: I love to play ice hockey, board games, watch new movies, go to concerts and out dancing!
Single or Taken: I’m still new to New York so I’ve been dating 🙂
Who/what turns me on: playing with my hair, kissing my neck, and tipping me generously!
Favorite music: I love shoegaze, darkwave, post hardcore, pop punk and indie pop. Tell me about your favorite artists, I love to hear new music.
Favorite movie or TV show: Favorite movie is Bound, a neo noir lesbian heist film from the directors of The Matrix–the Wachowski Sisters–starring Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly. I highly recommend it!!
Favorite drag queen: My girl Bosco! Love all her looks, and she also plays Magic the Gathering.

Other stuff you need to know about me: Before bartending at Henrietta’s, I worked as a story producer for reality TV. I love to take road trips, and have driven all across the country including moving to New York!
