How long I’ve worked there: a little over 2 years, started during 2020 when things opened back up
What are my shifts: Wednesday Nights @ 10pm I throw a weekly dance party called “Gays and Dolls,” focusing on legendary New York trans, non-binary, and two-spirit talent
What makes this bar great: It’s super inclusive and everyone is super friendly. The space itself is a gorgeous art installation, the DJs always have everyone dancing (and there’s almost never a cover), and the backyard is cute and the drinks, like the gay juice, are sooo good. It’s always a happy & fun time ^__^
Best drink I make: Tecate! I’m kidding! I designed a drink called the “Fire Island Squatter” which is a a play on a cucumber melon spritz. Or I can make a mean spicy flavored Marg
I love it when customers: are nice and respectful of the space and patrons, but also love when people come back to my shift to say hi
I hate it when customers: scream (at the top of their lungs). Honestly I just have never screamed at the top of my lungs unless I’m in pain.
Craziest thing I’ve seen here: Beyoncé filming the “Break My Soul” music video directly in front of Happyfun (that isn’t released yet, hehe… look out for slime green latex gowns)

Favorite movie or TV show: V for Vendetta, Lost, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Hunter x Hunter are a few; I love anime
