Chants of “Close the camps!” and “Abolish ICE!” came from The Stonewall Inn on Sunday night, as Flower Tortilla and a team of amazing performers held a star-studded fundraiser for RAICES, the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services.

The performers raised a total of $1,350, with all the queens donating their tips and The Stonewall Gives Back Initiative matching every dollar raised at the door.

Host Flower Tortilla kicked off the night with a tribute to Selena, and was followed by performances from Ari Kiki, Aria Derci, Catrina Lovelace, Daisy Desnuda, Hibiscus, Honey Davenport, Jack Dahlia, Lady Quesa’Dilla, Megami D. Vil, Miss Behave, Misty Mountains Davenport and Pussy Willow.

Many of the queens opened their numbers with words of hope and vigilance.

“I am originally from El Paso, Texas, so I want to say some words about those of us that were born and raised on the border,” said Lady Quesa’Dilla. “We must stay vigilant, all of you – because the same way that white supremacists are feeling empowered to drive 600 miles to my hometown, we must also stay vigilant to do whatever it is your activism looks like.”

Congratulations to the performers for an incredible and successful night, and shoutout to The Stonewall Gives Back Initiative and Stonewall manager Mike Salinari for making it all possible!
