Bar(s) that I work at: I’m currently rotating between Balcon Salon, Hardware, and Pieces
How long I’ve worked there: This is actually my first month! I’m brand spanking new.
What are my shifts: You can find me at Balcon Salon on Saturday nights.
What makes this bar great: Balcon specifically is such a beautiful venue. It’s spacious and the performance space lends itself to some really great shows.
Best drink I make: Margaritas
I love it when customers: Are happy. Seeing people dance and have the time of their life is always fulfilling for me.
I hate it when customers: Are grumpy. Like, let’s turn that frown upside down with some tequila shots.
Craziest thing I’ve seen here: I’ve seen some crazy dance moves out on the floor. Both good and bad, but all exciting nevertheless.
Other places I’ve worked: My first bartending job was with The Meatball Shop. They are an amazing company and they will always have a special place in my heart.
My hometown: I was born in Ocala, Florida, however, I grew up in Upstate New York around Saratoga Springs.
Stuff I do when I’m not bartending: I love to go out and support the drag performers on my days off. It’s such an amazing community that deserves to be uplifted. I also spend a lot of time outdoors from walking my dog to biking all over NYC.
Single or Taken: Single.
Who/what turns me on: Big- oop.
Favorite music: It truly is a Brat Summer; I can’t stop listening to Charli XCX. I also am a huge fan of Halsey and Billie Eilish.
Favorite movie or TV show: I feel so lame for saying RuPaul’s Drag Race, but beyond all the smoke and mirrors it really brings me joy.
Favorite drag queen: I have to give all my love to Marilyn Monhoe. She’s my sister and she’s so dedicated to her craft. I also want to shout out Ruby Roo. An icon in the Manhattan drag scene and my first introduction to the Pieces brand.
My drag name would be: Noah Jeane Monhoe
Favorite gogo boy: I haven’t worked with him personally, but I’ve followed Xavier Blanco for a few years and have always enjoyed his work and his content.
Favorite DJ: I’m still meeting all the amazing talent in the nightlife scene, but one who has stuck out to me so far is Alex Cohen. You can find him DJ’ing all over Hells Kitchen and at Balcon.
Other stuff you need to know about me: Before stepping into nightlife I was a cruise ship singer! I love singing and performing and am always looking for opportunities around the city to do so.
